Classic Game Room – BLUE DREAMCAST VMU CARD review

Classic Game Room reviews the BLUE SEGA DREAMCAST VMU CARD which is exactly like the white Sega Dreamcast VMU Card except it is blue and has magic powers that transform it into a pony when you aren’t looking. So you’ll never actually see this, but trust me, it happens!! The Sega Dreamcast VMU saves Dreamcast game data and has a completely useless LCD screen which shows you what game you are playing and has some other odd functions. Most importantly it saves game data and since it doesn’t hold very much you’ll need lots of them if you collect and play Dreamcast games frequently. VMU cards come in red, green and blue (as well as others like the black one that comes with the Sega Sports Dreamcast system). This CGR video review of the blue Sega Dreamcast VMU card shows HD video footage of the Visual Memory Unit in action saving games and saving lives!

Classic Game Room – MORTAL KOMBAT GOLD for Dreamcast review

Classic Game Room reviews MORTAL KOMBAT GOLD for Sega Dreamcast from Eurocom and Midway from 1999., based on Mortal Kombat 4 from 1997 in the arcades. This 3D Mortal Kombat entry in the series may appeal to those who really dig Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe but perhaps not those who like the original Mortal Kombat games in 2D. Moves are faster and jumping more responive and effective in this version. Awesome fatalities are easy to pull off with cheat codes for Mortal Kombat Gold on Sega Dreamcast entered at the beginning of the game. Controls work well and MK On DC plays a bit like Virtual Fighter mixed with Mortal Kombat. This CGR review of Mortal Kombat Gold (aka Mortal Kombat 4) has gameplay from Mortal Kombat Gold on Sega Dreamcast showing MK Gold game play and Mortal Kombat fatality moves gameplay in HD.

Classic Game Room – GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES for Dreamcast review

Classic Game Room reviews GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES for Japanese Sega Dreamcast from SNK. This 1999 fighting game (released in 2001 for the Sega Dreamcast) is the last videogame in the Fatal Fury series from SNK. Garou Mark of the Wolves features solid SNK style fighting game gameplay with a solid roster of characters with a variety of fighting styles. Beautiful backgrounds full of motion and texture highlight the well rendered characters as they pound the snot out of each other in this uber-challenging game. This CGR review of Garou Mark of the Wolves for Sega Dreamcast has Garou Mark of the Wolves gameplay in HD (also available on Xbox 360 in Xbox Live Arcade as Garou MOW) showing Dreamcast Garou: Mark of the Wolves game play in action.

Classic Game Room – SUPER SPEED RACING Sega Dreamcast review

Super Speed Racing review (aka Flag to Flag review). Classic Game Room reviews SUPER SPEED RACING, a Japanese Sega Dreamcast driving game. This awful videogame was also released in the west as Flag to Flag for Sega Dreamcast. Open wheel racing in the USA that isn’t Indy Car?? CART may no longer be around, but this CART licensed game has drivers like Bobby Rahal and others from 1999-2000. While graphically acceptable for an early Sega Dreamcast release, Super Speed Racing (Flag to Flag) has terrible controls that are amplified in awfulness by the Sega Dreamcast controller’s touchy thumbstick. This CGR Flag to Flag video review (as it’s called in the West) has Super Speed Racing gameplay recorded from Sega Dreamcast with S-Video.

Classic Game Room – SEGA DREAMCAST QUANTUM FIGHTERPAD controller review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the Quantum Fighterpad for the SEGA Dreamcast video game console. The Quantum Fighterpad by InterAct is an exciting controller for the Dreamcast because it has a unique shape, 6 buttons on front like an arcade fighting machine, and programmable buttons. Are you looking for a fighting stick with programmable buttons for special moves and combinations on the DC? Well, here’s the gamepad for you. Play games like Street Fighter 2 and Capcom vs. SNK and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast with this awesome controller by InterAct. You can play 2D and 3D fighters with it, as well as shmups and shooters and RPG games from Japan. Build quality is nice, the buttons are pretty good and this thing is the size of a Sega GameGear. The review of the Quantum Fighter Pad by Inter Act will show what a cool controller this is and how it can be had for a bargain these days. Always watch Classic Game Room for video game reviews for Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn and Sega Genesis. SEGA!

Classic Game Room – SONIC ADVENTURE for Sega Dreamcast review

While not the first time in 3D, Sonic Adventure blends 3-D style Sonic the Hedgehog gameplay with a variety of other gameplay styles like arcade airplanes shooters, pinball and futuristic driving games. Sega released Sonic Adventure for Xbox 360 Live Arcade and PS3 Playstation 3 Network with HD visuals, here’s a look at the original Sonic Adventure on Sega Dreamcast. This CGR review of Sonic Adventure has gameplay from Sonic Adventure showing Sonic Adventure video game play in HD action.
