Classic Game Room – NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: SHINOBI RUMBLE for Nintendo DS review

Classic Game Room reviews NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: SHINOBI RUMBLE!! for Nintendo DS from Tomy and Atlus. Play as 16 characters from Naruto in this streamlined fighting game for fans of the Naruto series. Not too technical, not too much to memorize, Naruto Shippuden Shinobi Rumble is about button mashing and jumping around the screen kicking opponents. Pull of special moves easily by touching the lower screen during gameplay and control characters effectively with the d-pad and buttons. Naruto Shippuden Shinobi Rumble for Nintendo DS may not be a fighting game for die-hard fighting videogame fans, but for casual fighters into the Naruto series it is well done. This CGR review of Naruto Shippuden for Nintendo DS has Naruto Shippuden Shinobi Rumble gameplay filmed from Nintendo DS with Naruto Shippuden game play in HD.

Classic Game Room – ALIEN TRILOGY for Playstation review

Classic Game Room reviews ALIEN TRILOGY for Playstation PS1 from Acclaim and Fox Interactive Studios, a first person shooter featuring Aliens from the Alien movies and firepower like the pulse rifle and flamethrower! While not the exact storyline from the original 3 Alien movies, Alien Trilogy borrows characters and elements as you battle your way through aliens, face huggers and infected humans through levels inspired by the 1979 Alien, 1986’s Aliens and that other one…. Alien 3. (Hooray, no Alien Regurgitation or whatever it was…) Play as Ripley and waste suckas with the Pulse Rifle and other weapons in Alien Trilogy for PS1. This CGR review of Alien Trilogy has gameplay from Alien Trilogy on Playstation. Alien Trilogy is also available for Sega Saturn and PC.

Classic Game Room HD – TUROK DINOSAUR HUNTER for N64 review

Classic Game Room HD reviews TUROK DINOSAUR HUNTER from 1997 for the Nintendo 64. This first person shooter adventure on the N64 takes players on a romp through the Land of the Lost… which is easy to get lost in because it all looks the same. Even though Turok seems incredibly dated today this classic title is still extremely playable because of its responsive controls and overall high quality gameplay. Blast dinosaurs, monsters and pathetic bad guys with a variety of weapons including shotguns and machine guns. Use an on-screen map to find your location and hunt down keys to unlock numerous levels in Turok. This CGR review of Turok Dinosaur Hunter on N64 has gameplay from this Nintendo 64 first person shooter FPS, Turok Dinosaur Hunter. A popular game, Turok was followed by many sequels including a more recent one just called Turok on PS3 and Xbox 360. How do you find the keys in Turok on the huge levels? Lots of exploring, lots of swimming and spellunking, lots of shooting! Published by Acclaim for N64.

Classic Game Room HD – Q*BERT for ColecoVision review

Classic Game Room HD reviews Q*BERT for the ColecoVision video game system from 1982! QBert is the MAN (or alien or whatever)! He hops from block to block and makes them change colors, he has an awesome nose and this game is funky fresh on the Coleco Vision. Solid graphics, excellent gameplay and an affordable price make QBert on the Colecovision an arcade retro gamer’s dream. This Qbert review has gameplay footage from Q*Bert showing the excellent arcade conversion that trumps the Atari 2600 cartridge. Classic Game Room HD is the only retro and modern game reviewer reviewing Colecovision games in High Definition. If you like old school games, you need to jump on the Classic Game Room awesome-wagon. Qbert is a coin-op classic from the 80’s that remains fun and addictive to play today.

Classic Game Room – SKYLANDERS PIRATE SEAS review

Skylanders review part 4. Classic Game Room reviews SKYLANDERS PIRATE SEAS, level 24 in the Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure game and part of the Skylanders Pirate Seas Adventure Pack that comes with the Terrafin action figure. Pirate Seas Adventure Pack comes with a well detailed pirate ship that the player sits on to the Portal of Power which activates a new level with Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure. A pirate ship suddenly appears at the docks and player replaces pirate ship with a Skylander figure and plays the level! Pirate Seas level is somewhat disappointing compared to the rest of the game and you’ll find yourself playing a remake of the Memory card game half the time. Some new items are found and players can upgrade their Skylanders as they crush enemies, etc… CGR Skylanders Pirate Seas video review shows gameplay from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure within the Pirates Seas level.

Classic Game Room HD – NEO-GEO CD console review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the SNK NEO-GEO CD from 1994. This CD version of the amazing Neo-Geo AES plays many of the same games in CD form. Plagued by awful loading times thanks to the 1x speed CD drive in the game system, the NeoGeo CD is the least popular Neo Geo out there but CGR thinks it is a good buy for those looking for SNK games and Japanese release for a better price. The Neo Geo CD has no region encoding and will play Japan region Japanese Neo Geo video games (I’ve only tested with an NTSC Neo Geo CD). The Neo Geo CD has composite video, S-Video and stereo audio. Plays audio CDs. Neo Geo CD consoles can be had for a fraction of the price that the Neo Geo AES and Neo-Geo MVS sell for. Games are usually much less money as well. This CGR review of the Neo Geo CD shows the game console in HD with numerous NeoGeo CD games.

Classic Game Room HD – DOOM 3 for Xbox review

Classic Game Room HD reviews DOOM 3 Limited Collector’s Edition for Xbox, playable on Xbox 360. This game is also available for PC. Doom 3 Collector’s Edition contains Doom 3, Doom 2 and the original DOOM! From id Software, Vicarious Visions and Activision comes one of the greatest horror/sci-fi shooters ever created. You play as a marine sent to Mars who winds up fighting hordes of monsters unleashed by teleporter experiments gone wrong (don’t they always). Break out your shotgun, minigun, chainsaw, BFG 9000 and Soul Cube and go to work slaying waves of enemy monsters, infected creeps and spider things. This CGR review of Doom 3 has gameplay from Doom 3 on Xbox showing game play from Doom 3 in HD action.
