LGR – Purple Saturn Day – DOS PC Game Review

Epyx and their “Games” games were quite popular back in the 80’s. But I guess they weren’t purple (or Saturn Day-ey) enough! That’s where Exxos’s PSD comes in, with all the galactic olympics a fan of campy sci-fi could ask for! Watch the higher-quality version of this review here: blip.tv

Classic Game Room – ACTION REPLAY 4M PLUS card for Sega Saturn review

Classic Game Room reviews the ACTION REPLAY 4M PLUS card for Sega Saturn, also known as a 4 in 1 card or Action Replay cartridge. It gives players the ability to play import games on a Sega Saturn from a different region, for instance CGR can play Japanese (Japan only) releases on an American Sega Saturn with this Action Replay card that easily defies region encoding without problem. The Action Replay card also acts as a memory expander to save Sega Saturn game files and allow gameplay of Capcom games needing 4MB memory like X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Action Replay card comes with cheat codes for various games to jump ahead levels or become invincible, additional codes available.

Classic Game Room – RADIANT SILVERGUN for Sega Saturn review

Classic Game Room reviews RADIANT SILVERGUN for Sega Saturn from Treasure. This sci fi SHMUP style space ship shooter is about as hard as it gets. A vertical scrolling shmup style combined with puzzle elements makes RADIANT SILVERGUN a shooter for fans of games like Ikaruga (also from Treasure). Rumors are that Radiant Silvergun will get an Xbox 360 XBLA Live Arcade release in the future, until then Radiant Silvergun is famous for being one of the most expensive and elusive video games to collect for the Sega Saturn with prices reaching into the multi-hundreds for copies of the game in good condition. This CGR review of Radiant Silvergun videogame for Sega Saturn has gameplay from Radient Silvergun showing Radiant SIlvergun shmups game play in HD.

Classic Game Room HD – SEGA SATURN STUNNER Light Gun review

Watch in High Definition! Classic Game Room HD reviews the SEGA SATURN STUNNER Light Gun for the Sega Saturn to play shooting games like Virtua Cop 1 and 2. This bright orange, plus sized plastic fire arm is a joy to aim at your CRT television and fire away at bad guys. Virtua blast gangsters with the Sega Stunner, which is very affordable to collect now for your Sega Saturn. This accessory is plugged into the controller port and has a reasonably high build quality. Many games like Virtua Cop can be played with 2 Sega Stunners. Classic Game Room HD uses this Sega Stunner light gun for its video game reviews of shooting games and light gun arcade games on Sega Saturn. This plastic light gun may not work with newer televisions like plasma screens and LCD high definition monitors and tvs. It does not work with front or rear projection screens. You want an older tv to play light gun games. Classic Game Room HD reviews Sega Saturn hardware like the Sega Stunner! That’s stunning!

Classic Game Room – BATSUGUN for Sega Saturn review

Classic Game Room reviews BATSUGUN for Sega Saturn from developer Toaplan, a 1993 SHMUP style arcade space ship shooter which found its way onto the Japanese Sega Saturn in 1996. Regarded as a bullet hell style shooter, Batsugan shares much in common with other Toaplan shooters such as Truxton and Fireshark with its straight forward 2D gameplay and crushing difficulty. This CGR review of Batsugun has gameplay from the Japanese Sega Saturn release of the vertical scrolling Saturn shooter Batsugun with videogame game play action.

Classic Game Room – DUKE NUKEM 3D for Sega Saturn review

Classic Game Room reviews DUKE NUKEM 3D for Sega Saturn. The hilarious, iconic first person shooter from 3D realms originally released in 1996 found its way onto the Sega Saturn shortly thereafter. Sluggish gameplay with lag and delay basically ruins what is otherwise an awesome first person shooter. While Duke Nukem 3D is playable on the Sega Saturn and a truly awesome videogame, there are better versions of Duke Nukem 3D out there (PC and Xbox 360). This CGR review of Duke Nukem 3D has gameplay from Duke Nukem 3D showing game play on Sega Saturn.
