Classic Game Room – ROADBLASTERS for Sega Genesis review

Classic Game Room reviews ROADBLASTERS for Sega Genesis from Tengen released in 1991. Originally a 1987 arcade machine from Atari, Roadblasters is a futuristic, combat-based driving game like Spy Hunter meets Road Rash. You pilot a Ford Falcon style post-apocalyptic Mad Max inspired war machine against waves of enemies that you eliminate with machine gun fire to win rally events. Go Interceptor, go!! Don’t forget to hide a gun by the gas tank and rack up points by driving well (even though the driving controls sucl) and wasting bad guys for combo points. This CGR review of Roadblasters on the Sega Genesis (aks Sega Mega Drive) has Road Blasters gameplay showing Roadblasters game play on Sega Genesis (megadrive) in HD played on modded Model 1 Sega Genesis with S-Video output.

Classic Game Room – SEGA GAME GEAR review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the SEGA GAME GEAR which was originally released in North America in the year 1990! Handheld gaming has never been less portable but more exciting. The Sega Game Gear eats six AA batteries in two hours but delivers Sega quality video games on a full color screen. Take that black and white Nintendo Game Boy! Color! Even if you need to plug it in to play games lasting more than 2 hours… The Game Gear may show its age with a dim LCD screen and washed out colors, common with older handhelds these days. But an awesome library of collectable games await you for an affordable price. Perhaps you just want to rebuild your collection and relive your youth? Were you playing Game Gear in the hallway while making smart-assed comments as kids with their sad black and white game boys walked by? Did your Game Gear accidentally beat up a rival’s Atari Lynx? Yeah, you know it. The Game Gear may not be the handheld of choice now but it was a terrific addition to the Sega hardware catalog and was built to last (as well as it could). This CGR review shows a Sega Game Gear in the video game review and features Game Gear games such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Mortal Kombat II. The Sega Gamegear review shows the Sega Game Gear screen, battery compartments and buttons up close.

Classic Game Room – WOLVERINE ADAMANTIUM RAGE review for Sega Mega Drive

Wolverine Adamantium Rage review. Classic Game Room reviews WOLVERINE ADAMANTIUM RAGE for Sega Genesis from Acclaim published in 1994. Wolverine Adamantium Rage is a 2D side scrolling platforming action game where you control Wolverine and battle enemies through levels designed to confuse, disorient and eventually frustrate. Wolverine Adamantium Rage is a disappointing game with sloppy controls and uninspired level design that fails to capture the awesome-ness of Wolverine. Additionally, Wolverine is weaker than mere penguins and scientists wearing lab coats, he can’t even open doors without moving levers. CGR Wolverine Adamantium Rage video review shows gameplay from Sega Genesis (although this is technically the Sega Mega Drive version of Wolverine Adamantium Rage).

Classic Game Room – ROAD RASH 1 for Sega Genesis / Mega Drive review

Classic Game Room HD reviews ROAD RASH 1 for Sega Genesis (the Japanese Sega Mega Drive to be exact). From Electronic Arts, this EA video game is classic Sega Genesis awesomeness. Race your motorcycle in bloody Mad Max Road Warrior style competition against gangs of thungs and no-good weirdos (like Biff) . Kick them and punch them off their bikes, run the cretins over and go for the win! Road Rash is the 1991 masterpiece for EA (this is the 1992 Japanese Sega Megadrive version) which spawned numerous sequels. Game cartridge has a password save system, several bikes that you can save up money to buy and several tracks. This CGR review of Road Rash has gameplay from Road Rash on Sega Genesis showing Road Rash game play in Sega Mega Drive action.

Classic Game Room – SUPER SPEED RACING Sega Dreamcast review

Super Speed Racing review (aka Flag to Flag review). Classic Game Room reviews SUPER SPEED RACING, a Japanese Sega Dreamcast driving game. This awful videogame was also released in the west as Flag to Flag for Sega Dreamcast. Open wheel racing in the USA that isn’t Indy Car?? CART may no longer be around, but this CART licensed game has drivers like Bobby Rahal and others from 1999-2000. While graphically acceptable for an early Sega Dreamcast release, Super Speed Racing (Flag to Flag) has terrible controls that are amplified in awfulness by the Sega Dreamcast controller’s touchy thumbstick. This CGR Flag to Flag video review (as it’s called in the West) has Super Speed Racing gameplay recorded from Sega Dreamcast with S-Video.
